Shawnee Wine Trail
Just a few minutes drive south starts the Shawnee wine trail. Surrounded by the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest, you’ll discover nationally and internationally awarded wines, friendly service, and unique wine and food experiences. Eleven wineries across a well-marked 40-mile trail, each winery offers its spin on wine, style, and charm.
Shawnee National Forest
Famed for its magnificent Garden of the Gods and home to the Rim Rock Recreational Trail, this forest has 403 miles of equestrian and hiking trails. Hikers will experience magnificent jutting walls of rock covered with emerald-green moss and paths that meander through canyons under the forest canopy.
Are you interested in climbing? Then you’ll need to check out Jackson Falls, located near the town of Ozark. The climb takes place on 60 feet of sandstone cliffs and boulders, including numerous freestanding towers.
